Wipro has recently announced the appointment of Srinivas Pallia as its new CEO & Managing Director succeeding Thierry Delaporte, who, after spearheading a significant transformation at Wipro for the last four years, is stepping down to pursue interests beyond the workplace.
The Board of Directors acknowledged Thierry Delaporte’s resignation, effective from 6 April 2024. He will officially conclude his employment with the company by the close of business hours on 31st May 2024.
Srinivas Pallia holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in management studies from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has also completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and the McGill Executive Institute. Joining Wipro in 1992, Srinivas has served in various leadership roles, including President of Wipro’s consumer business unit and global head of business application services.
Rishad Premji, Chairman of Wipro, expressed confidence in Srinivas’s leadership, stating, “Srinivas is an ideal leader to guide Wipro during this crucial period.
