Zomato has joined the likes of Swiggy’s Bolt and other quick-delivery platforms by introducing a 15-minute food delivery service to compete with. Although there is no official announcement yet, the feature is now available on the Zomato app.
Under the app’s Explore section, there is now a “15-minute delivery” tab that offers meals from selected restaurants. These deliveries are fulfilled by outlets located within a 2-kilometre radius, slightly longer than Swiggy Bolt’s 10-minute delivery promise.
Zomato’s entry into ultra-fast food delivery aligns with the growth of the quick commerce industry. This follows the launch of Bistro by Blinkit, a Zomato-owned venture focused on delivering juices, snacks, and meals. While Bistro is not operational yet, its website indicates plans for a wider focus on health-oriented quick service.

Swiggy launched Bolt in October and reported that 5% of its food orders in Q2 were through the quick-delivery option. Other competitors in the space include Ola with Ola Dash, a 10-minute food delivery service in Bengaluru, and Zepto, which launched Zepto Café to cater to the demand for fast deliveries.
