A Groom or a Broom, No Order Request is Too Odd For Swiggy Instamart

Swiggy Instamart’s new ad, created by Moonshot, has taken the internet by storm. Written by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, Puneet Chadha, and Deep Joshi and directed by Ayappa, the ad represents Swiggy Instamart’s conviction to fulfil every request.

The ad features a wedding scene where two Swiggy Instamart delivery partners mistakenly pick up a groom instead of a broom due to a typo in the order. In the midst of the wedding, they quickly grab the groom and stuff him into an Instamart bag. Soon after, it’s revealed that the order was actually for a broom, not a groom. The delivery partners swiftly return the groom to the wedding venue, remove the Instamart bag, and congratulate him on his ongoing wedding.

The ad represents Swiggy Instamart’s promise to deliver anything a customer needs, no matter how unusual.

Mayur Hola, VP of Marketing at Swiggy, said, “Through this campaign, we set out to highlight that no request is unimaginable for Swiggy Instamart. With the ability to deliver thousands of products in just 10 minutes, we wanted to demonstrate that whether the request is unique, unexpected, or even amusing, Swiggy Instamart is always up for it.”

The campaign has received over 2.1 million views within 18 hours of its release and has sparked a wave of social media interactions, with users and companies like OYO and Shaadi.com joining in on the fun.
