This Diwali, Zepto is lighting up more than just homes—it’s igniting the spirit of local craftsmanship. Working with over 500 artisans, including 50 families from the Prajapati clan of potters, Zepto is bringing traditional handmade Diwali Diyas straight to doorsteps across India. For generations, these artisans have crafted earthen goods, integral to Indian festivals, but often sold last-minute on roadside stalls.
With Zepto’s platform, these artisans are now reaching a much broader audience, selling not just Diyas but also Ganesh and Durga idols, and traditional Marapachi dolls. This allows the artisans to avoid the usual hustle of door-to-door selling, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work to the entire nation in a dignified manner.
Pradeep Kumar, one of the artisans, said, “This year, Zepto helped us bring our Diyas to homes across the country, connecting us with a much wider audience. It’s been a game-changer for us, and I’m grateful for their support.”

Aadit Palicha, Zepto’s Co-founder & CEO, called it an honour to help bring the work of artisans to millions of homes this festive season.
Zepto’s initiative will help artisans focus on their craft without having to handle the pressure of sales. This year, while supporting local communities, Zepto is aiming to reach 10 times more homes and bridge the gap between traditional and modern convenience.
