AI Brings Fortune-Telling to Coffee Lovers at BK Café

BK Café by Burger King India is introducing a new way for guests to explore the future through their coffee. Inspired by the ancient art of Turkish coffee reading, the café has launched Coffee Fortunes, blending tradition with technology. Guests can have their fortunes predicted by uploading photos of their coffee foam patterns to a microsite where AI analyses the images to reveal personalised fortunes.

During New Year’s week, from December 28, 2024, to January 3, 2025, visitors can take part by ordering a coffee, stirring, sipping, and snapping a photo of the foam. The uploaded image is processed by AI to generate a fortune. Participants also have the option to share their fortunes on social media, with a chance to win a free Cold Coffee, adding a fun and interactive element to their café visit.

Kapil Grover, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King India, stated that the campaign aims to create a unique and engaging experience for guests, combining age-old traditions with modern technology. He highlighted the effort to connect with guests by offering moments of joy and interaction over a simple cup of coffee.

Pravin Sutar, National Creative Director at Leo Burnett South Asia, explained that the campaign taps into the curiosity surrounding the New Year, using innovative technology to transform coffee into a tool for fortune-telling. He emphasised the use of data and AI to create an activity that is interactive and engaging, further distinguishing BK Café as a brand that combines good coffee with memorable experiences.

This activity is open to all guests visiting BK Café outlets during the specified dates.
