Ravi Ahuja, Chairman of Global Television and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from 2nd January 2025. The company disclosed this via a statement, adding that he will succeed the current CEO, Tony Vinciquerra.
Vinciquerra has been serving as SPE’s Chairman and CEO since 2017. He will resign from his current role but continue as Non-Executive Chairman in an advisory capacity until December 2025.
Ahuja joined SPE in 2021 and has been responsible for overseeing all production activities for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and managing the studio’s India operations as the Chairman of Global Television Studios. Before joining SPE, Ahuja was President of Business Operations and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Walt Disney Television. He has also worked for Fox Networks Group and Virgin Entertainment Group.
Ahuja will report to Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, as well as Hiroki Totoki, President, COO and CFO.
