FUJIFILM India has launched a brand film about healthcare access in underserved areas, named Hero with an Endoscope, a part of the “Stories of More Smiles” series.

The film was conceptualised by the brand team at FUJIFILM India. It was written and directed by Ranvir Kumar Suman and produced by Seaface Films. The shoot took place in Tiruchirappalli and Kolli Hills, Tamil Nadu. The team filmed across 12 locations in two days with a crew of 60 and over 70 participants. The production used Fujifilm Fujinon Premista Cine lenses.

The film tells the true story of Dr Govindraj and the Endobus initiative by the K Shantha Foundation, launched last year in December. The Endobus is equipped with Fujifilm CAD EYE and advanced endoscopic systems. It helps doctors detect gastrointestinal diseases. The film follows Gopal, a patient diagnosed at an Endobus camp. Early detection and treatment helped Gopal improve his condition. The story sheds light on the efforts of healthcare workers in remote areas. The film ends with the message, “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”

Koji Wada, managing director of FUJIFILM India, spoke about the company’s work. He said the brand film shows their commitment to early detection and better healthcare access. Gopal’s story highlights how healthcare can change lives.

Abhi Shekhar Singh, vertical head of corporate communications and CSR at FUJIFILM India, said the film is part of their “Stories of More Smiles” series. It connects to the company’s Group Purpose, “Giving our world more smiles.” The film shares real outcomes, like Gopal’s recovery, to explain the importance of healthcare access.
