Zepto has promoted Shashank Shekhar Sharma to CXO of Zepto Café. His role starts in December 2024. Shashank will manage Café operations, expansion, equipment sourcing, quality checks, and customer experience. He will work to grow Zepto Café in India’s food tech market.

Aadit Palicha, Co-founder and CEO of Zepto, called Shashank a strong operator. “I have had the personal privilege of learning from his combination of detail-oriented execution, strategic clarity, and most importantly, unrelenting obsession with the customer. Zepto Café has been built ground up by him and I believe he has it in him to build one of the largest food QSR businesses in India.”

Shashank expressed his excitement to take on this role. He said that the online café model changes how urban India gets food and drinks as they will focus on convenience, speed, and quality. As new menu items are introduced, the focus will remain on carefully curating assortments that meet high standards of quality, consistency, and taste, he added. Shashank aims to work closely with teams, sellers, and partners to build on the café’s success and continue providing users with great experiences.

Shashank has 20 years of experience in food-tech, retail, and QSR. He has worked on business growth and operations scaling. His approach matches Zepto Café’s plans.

Zepto started in 2021. It was founded by Stanford dropouts Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra. Zepto is based in Mumbai. It delivers over 25,000 products in 10 minutes through a wide delivery hub network.
